Wag the Dog
There was a little dog all alone,
They called him Wag as his name was unknown,
He wagged all day, wagged all night,
And whenever he had people in sight.
Wag was unwanted, living in a dog home cage,
Nobody wanted him because of his age.
The children wanted a puppy, and not one too scary,
Nobody wanted an older one or a dog that was too hairy.
When anyone came to his cage, he wagged as he saw them stare,
But it dropped as he heard them say “I like the one over there.”
Alone and cold he wagged all night and day,
As families took the other dogs away.
So life unwanted for Wag was grim,
Nobody ever, would want to love him.
